Introduce Yourself!
My name is Katrina Leggins, i’m a mental health therapist, self-care advocate, writer and speaker
What does health mean to you?
When I think of health, I think about the entire wellbeing of a person (mentally, physically, spiritually, etc.). Health is extremely important and should be made a priority in order to make sure your needs are adequately being met.
How did you get started and what inspired you to start your business?
I started my business three and a half years ago after being shown this vision that God gave me that would allow me to help individuals on a bigger scale. What inspired me the most was seeing that there was a need in my community for more people to be educated on self-care & mental health, and I wanted to also provide my expertise, resources, and tools that could be used to help learn about this area.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in this process and how did you keep yourself motivated?
The biggest challenge was time management. Because I wear all hats, it can become very tiring trying to operate everything. I overcame this by practicing more self-care, planning better, seeking support, and not comparing my brand to others.
What is the most important message you want your viewers to receive through your platform?
I want my viewers to learn practical tools to help prevent major mental health crises from happening and learn healthy ways to manage their mental health.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Your actions and words hold a lot of power and could hurt someone.
What is your favorite way to relax?
Journaling, watching Netflix and going for a walk in my neighborhood.
What advice would you give to your early 20’s self?
Don’t be so in a rush to meet your goals by a certain age and if you don’t, this doesn’t mean you’re a “failure”. Always remember to do best and trust yourself.
What’s something you are currently obsessed with? (could be anything that comes to your mind! Object, things, place, restaurant, product)
The first thing that comes to mine is Chipotle, I LOVE that place and could eat it every day.

I’m currently watching The CHI
