The Wellful Welcomes Dalina Soto!

Dalina Soto is founder of Nutritiously Yours & Latina Nutrition, a Philly based private practice.  She is one of Philadelphia’s leading Spanish speaking dietitians and nutritionists.

Introduce Yourself!

Hi my name is Dalina. I am Dominican American 🙂 and am fluent in Spanish. I love pizza & bachata!

What does health mean to you?

Health to me is where you feel your best at. Where you can live life to your fullest capacity. Enjoying food and movement. Where you just feel free to be you.

How did you get started and what inspired you to start your business?

I started my private practice because I saw a need in my latinx community to educate them in their language while keeping our culture alive.

What was the biggest challenge you faced in this process and how did you keep yourself motivated?

For me is has been growing and staying true to myself and my message. When you’re trying to reach a community it can be easy to fall into the trap of following the crowds and steering away from what you believe for business for likes or followers. But it feels great to keep your feet on the ground and work hard and see the rewards while keeping your message.

What is the most important message you want your viewers to receive through your platform?

That you can keep your cultural foods while still finding your health and peace with food. Also, you can respect your body at any size and you do not have to stay stuck believing you need to achieve the “Latina look”

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Find your niche and talk to them.

What is your favorite way to relax?

Watching Grey’s Anatomy or this is us. Even though they always make me cry lol

What advice would you give to your early 20’s self?

Life is going to throw you curveballs. But you are strong and you will make it through it all. Just always stay true to yourself.

What’s something you are currently obsessed with? (Could be anything that comes to your mind! Object, things, place, restaurant, product)

We have been ordering take out from a local brewery and I keep going back to their truffle Mac n Cheese with a kale caesar salad. I love the mushrooms in the Mac and pine nuts & golden raisins in the salad. Such a delish combo.
